Massage Oil Candle Making Experience
Create your own luxurious massage oil candle using Scents by the Bay’s proprietary blend of cosmetic-grade soy wax, organic shea butter, cocoa butter, and jojoba oil. This hands-on workshop guides you through blending candle and body-safe fragrance oils, exploring fragrance families, the fragrance pyramid and blending techniques to craft your perfect scent.
What to Expect:
- Select from a variety of candle vessels (pictures are examples, you select on site)
- Learn about proper wick selection for an even burn
- Blend your fragrance with the wax, you can even add in a shimmery mica!
- Customize your candle with a personalized label
- We’ll store your fragrance blend on-site for easy reordering!
After pouring:
- The candle will take approximately 45 minutes to set enough to move. You can relax and enjoy 10% off anything else in our store during the event, check out the local shops and restaurants. You will also receive a 10% discount off dining at 5 Tacos & Beer or Cafe La Med.
- You can also opt to pick it up the next day if you’re local and can’t wait or we can ship it to you the next day (additional charge applies).

We did this as our monthly Bestie get together. It was a unique and fun experience. We learned about fragrance families & notes, before experimenting with oils to create our very own, custom fragrance. It was a great way to recharge & learn something new. I walked away with a full heart & a new candle I chose to call Tea & Timber (the exact blend is on file in the shop if id like another one in the future).
