Join Scents by the Bay and 5 Tacos & Beers for an intimate sensory experience exploring the powerful connection between aroma, flavor and memory. You’ll sip, taste and smell your way through specially created pairings before using what you’ve discovered to inspire a fragrance of your own.
Your Experience Includes
2 Sips + Scent Pairings
Enjoy two mini cocktails created by the 5 Tacos & Beers bartender, each highlighting a featured flavor or aromatic note. We’ll smell the corresponding fragrance note before and after each sip and explore how aroma can influence what you perceive on the palate.
2 Bites + Scent Pairings
Taste two chef-created mini bites, each built around a featured ingredient, spice or flavor. Discover the individual aromas within the dish and experience how your perception changes as we move between smelling and tasting.
Create Your Own Custom Perfume
Then we turn what you’ve learned into fragrance. Scents by the Bay will introduce you to fragrance families, perfume structure and the art of blending before you explore our fragrance oils and formulate a scent that is completely your own.
You’ll leave with your personal formula and an elevated 1/2 oz bottle of your custom perfume.
Make It Dinner
The tasting is just the beginning. Guests receive 15% off additional food and drinks ordered during the event, so order dinner and your favorite cocktail, beer or beverage when you arrive and they’ll be delivered when the perfume teaching session starts – enjoy them while you create your perfume.
Your $125 ticket includes: 2 mini cocktail tastings, 2 chef-created bites, guided aroma + flavor exploration, guided custom perfume blending, a 1/2 oz custom perfume to take home, and 15% off additional food and beverages during the event.
Space is limited to just 25 guests. Advance reservations are required.
